As this sunbreak gives my last taste
this last good night without flame
life’s rage for me has been embraced
The lovely darkness brings no fear
blazing rain with no light welcome
to entice all my precious enemy near
Weeping men have been my muse
their wily acts in betraying seas
my burning wrath only mine to use
Barbaric foils mimic my verse
as their grief is mine to endure
for I compose their forever curse
Bouquetless headstones ungraced
exuberance sightless under stars
their every descendant forever chaste
So listen my sons on my last stay
let not one eye begin to grieve
I have throttled fear my every day
my rage no longer needs to play
No Fear of Darkness was inspired by the legendary poem by Dylan Thomas; "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night"
